It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald, at the age of 52 at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, April 1, 2017. He was the loving husband and best friend of Kimmy. Gerald was the precious brother of Margo Robinson (Randall) of Guelph and Michael of Kitchener. He was the much loved uncle of Leah (Jason), Jenna (Dave) and Benjamin (Treena). He was predeceased by his mother, Carmel McCabe and his father, Patrick McCabe. Gerald will also be fondly remembered by Kimmy’s parents; Theresa and Albert Smith, her sister Kerry Gunton (Danny), as well as great nieces, nephews, extended family and many many friends – you special ones know who you are! Gerald was a dedicated and dependable employee at Skyjack in Guelph for many years. He will be remembered as a gentle, loving, giving soul who liked to live hard, work hard and play hard. You will be missed Gerald! Cremation has taken place. The family will host a celebration of Gerald’s life at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 234, 57 Watson Pkwy South, Guelph on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
