Passed away suddenly at the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Alexander “Stewart” McGarr (2007). Loved mother of Mike, Mary (Peter) and John (Gina). Proud grandmother of Adam and Evan, Devin, Jade and Madison.
Donna was a long time employee at the Guelph Mercury, retiring in 1994. She was known for her kindness, generosity, always smiling, and never complaining. She will be missed by many.
The family will greet friends at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Tuesday, May 8th from 6 – 7:30 p.m. The memorial service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:30 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions to Guelph Wish for Children would be appreciated.
