Johnny passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Lilian (McCallum) and his parents Christina and John Millar and brother Cameron, in Scotland. He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Barbara Beattie and family in Australia and Christina Robertson and family in Scotland, niece, Fiona Parker (Lee and family), Catherine, sister- in-law (Anthony, nephew and family) in England and Caroline McCallum, sister-in-law in Ottawa and Grace Fillion, Nancy Leo and Monique Graulich, Jennifer Fischer and many more friends in Guelph. Born in Peebles Scotland, he met his love of his life, Lilian. They were married and immigrated to Guelph, ON, where they enjoyed travelling the world, their many friends and their love of their terrier dogs. Johnny was very active in local sports in the community and worked as a plumber at the University of Guelph and other locations. Friendly and helpful and well respected in the community. Also, a previous member of the Fergus Legion. A huge thank you to the staff on 3N, at St Joseph’s Health Centre for the care and support given to Johnny during his time there. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph at a later date. Donations to the Donkey Sanctuary or the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated.
