Of Guelph, Ontario passed away in the hospital of pneumonia after battling cancer. Survived by daughters Bey and Virginia, brother John and family, grandson Peter Miller, and great granddaughter Katrina. Jane contributed her brilliance to the development of computer programs in the pioneering decades of computer evolution, the 1970's and 1980's. She raised goats, for which she won first place in the Royal Winter Fair. Jane was known for her sense of humour. Despite many difficulties, she made her way through life with fierce independence. Jane's intelligence and wit will be remembered fondly by those who knew her. A memorial service will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph at 11:00am on Saturday, June 11 2016. Reception to follow.

A tree will be planted in memory of Jane Morrison-Bernet in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
