Joyce passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph at the age of 85 years. Following, as written by her, are her Parting Thanks:
"To my daughter Pam and her Terry, together made my life alone less scary; for being here and there, to deeply care and share their life with me; For all my friends, aquaintances, near or far, no need for names, you KNOW who you are; Those who have been loyal and true, for this I say "Thank you". Sisters, Eunice, Jan and Bet, their spouses and families I’d never forget – all my kin by mutual love linked, to my precious doggies, each and everyone, thank you for a life time of friendship and fun. And now, "Goodbye" to family and friends, with love to each and every one. In closing; "Do we rule our destiny – or does destiny rule us!""
