NOWACK, Donald Alan

Suddenly at his home on Thursday December 21, 2017. Don Nowack in his 79^th year.  Beloved husband of Norma (Kaufmann) for 54 years.  Cherished father of Linda McNamara and Katherine Nowack both of Guelph.  Sadly missed by his grandsons John and Brendan and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to his PSW, Senait, who took excellent care of Don and provided support for Norma as his caregiver and to the Guelph Firefighters who were there to lend a hand at a moment’s notice.  Predeceased by his loving parents; Emma (Richardson) and Louis Nowack and his sister Vivian Cerniuk.  Don was a long time employee of Hammond Manufacturing and an avid Blue Jays fan.  He loved music and played the organ at the New Apostolic Church.  Don enjoyed the company of the family dogs and will be dearly missed by Rufus, his loyal protector and by Lily, his comforting friend.  Don’s greatest joy was his family.  He was loving, supportive, patient, kind and generous.  A private service was held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Wednesday December 27, 2017.  Interment was held at Memory Gardens.  Memorial contributions to Parkinson Canada, Foundation of Guelph General Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
