Orso Adriana edit
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Adriano (Andy) Orso, born December 21, 1948 in Loria, Treviso, Italy. On July 12, 2018 from this earthly home, with his family near his side, to the next in the heavenly kingdom where he will be greeted by his parents Luigi and Beniamina Orso and parents-in-law Ed and Nefa Harrington. He will also be welcomed by his buddies, especially Alan, John and Ron. Our loss is heaven's gain and he will be deeply missed by us all. Andy was a loving and devoted family man. He was husband to Maureen, his wife of 45 years, father to Andrea and her husband Troy and Nonno to Emma, father to Adrian and his wife Michelle and Nonno to Jacob, father to Michael and Edward. Family was most important to him. Many young men and women viewed Andy as a pseudo-father figure and lovingly referred to him as Papa "O". He will also be missed by his sisters and in-laws, Anna and Sereno Stradiotto, Linda and Sante Gobbi and his brother Mario Orso. Andy will be missed by in-laws, Ron and Janet Drummond, Chip and Cheryl Drummond, as well as Pat and Joe Harrington. The nieces and nephews of two generations will miss their favourite hero Zio Andy. Andy's friends were a blessing to him and he to them, these friendships were deep and too numerous to count. Andy loved to make others laugh and wasn't afraid to be the butt of his own jokes. He was truly larger than life. Andy was a graduate of Fanshawe College in London and Mohawk College in Hamilton. He was a master salesman of large power generation electric motors and his name is legend in the industry. Many of his customers became close friends. Andy was an avid sportsman who wouldn't pass up the opportunity to spend hours at the Cambridge "Y", golfing, biking, hiking, squash and tennis...all on the same day! The family wishes to thank the medical staff at Grand River Cancer Centre along with the Palliative Community Care team for their incredible care and service. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Gathering from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, (519)749-8467. Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family to the Canadian Cancer Society or Run to Conquer Cancer in Association with the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon in the name of Adrian Orso who will be running in memory of his Dad on Sunday, October 21, 2018
