It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved
husband, father, and grandfather in his 65th year. Mark passed away at
Hospice Wellington after a long and difficult battle with cancer on
Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018. Mark will be missed by his loving wife and
best friend Ana of 42 years, by his family, Paul, Amanda & Jason and
Katie. Proud and fun-loving grandfather to Hailey, Madalyn, Aliyah,
Scarlett and Austin.

Dear son of the late Robert and Beatrice Parkinson of Sheffield, England.
Beloved brother to Cheryl (Philip), John (Marian), Steve (Christine) and
Simon. Brother-in-law to Marino Pippo (Gaile). Fondly remembered by many
relatives and friends in Canada, England and Australia

Mark enjoyed the outdoors and especially watching thunderstorms, loved to
sail, play cards, travel, watch soccer with friends and was an avid
reader. He spent time with his grandchildren, teaching them about his
passion for gardening, nature and bird watching. Mark’s quick wit and zest
for life will be greatly missed by family and friends but he will remain
forever in our hearts.

Mark made quite an impact on the community as a member and instructor of
the Guelph Community Boating Club since 1987, and also of the Guelph Power
and Sail Squadron since 1998 and became an Honorary Commodore of GCBC.
Also a member of the Tai Chi group from Knox Presbyterian Church. He was
an executive and advocated for the Prostate Cancer Canada Network.

Cremation has taken place. Please join the family for a Celebration of
Life to be held at the Puslinch Community Centre on October 28th, 2018
from 1 to 4 p.m.

Donations can be made to the Waterloo-Wellington Prostate Cancer Group or
Hospice Wellington.
