Born in St. David’s, Grenada, 1951, passed away peacefully October 15, 2017 at Guelph General Hospital surrounded by her family.

Marjorie was a long-time resident of Guelph. She earned a diploma in Nursing from Conestoga College and then worked as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Homewood Health Centre in Guelph from the 1980s to 2011. 

Beloved sister of Catherine (Phillip) Frank, Daphne Phillip and Sylvia Phillip in Grenada, the late Ann (Phillip) Munroe of England, Davis Phillip, the late Alphonso Phillip, late David Phillip of Grenada, and the late John Phillip of Guelph.

Marjorie will be sadly missed by her family. In Canada, she is survived by her adopted daughter Christine Lyons (Kenneth Lyons) and her three children (Treasure, Christian and Alexander).  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Edris Phillip, nieces Yoland Webster (Phillip) and Chrisanda Phillip of Guelph and niece Allison Phillip and nephews Anderson Phillip and Lyndon Phillip of Toronto. She is survived by 17 nieces and 15 nephews in Grenada, 2 nieces in Trinidad, 1 niece in the United States, 1 niece and 3 nephews in England.

Marjorie was socially active and she has touched many lives in her church community and neighbourhood.  Thank you to all the nurses and doctors at Guelph General Hospital for their exceptional and professional care.

A memorial and celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Parkview Church, 89 Speedvale Avenue East, Guelph, Ontario at 11am.
