PIPE, Glenna (nee Forsythe)

Passed away peacefully at The Elliott Community on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Most dearly beloved wife for over 70 years of Leonard Pipe. Predeceased by her sister Helen Sevigny. Glenna graduated in 1944 from the Victoria Public Hospital in Fredericton, NB after receiving her RN designation. Leonard recalled, during a stay in hospital, falling in love with his beautiful blue eyed nurse then later asking her for her hand in marriage. Glenna and Leonard married in 1947 and enjoyed a fulfilling life together. Thank you to all at The Elliott Community and CMHA for your support and compassion. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph from 10 – 11 a.m. Monday, October 16th with the funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park, then back to the funeral home for a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital or to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
