On Wednesday, January 11, 2017, Mrs. Mabel Evelyn Bernita (Moffit) Platt of Listowel, and formerly of Grand Valley, in her 91st year. Wife of the late Dalton Platt (1997). Mother of Larry and Kathy Platt of Guelph, and Linda and Ken Williams of R.R.1, Gowanstown. Grandmother of Shannon Platt, and Laura Platt, both of Guelph, Brent and Missy Williams of Listowel, Jeni and Rod MacEwen of Fordwich, and Luke and Steph Williams of R.R.1, Gowanstown, and great-grandmother of Dalton, Dylan, Taylor, Reid, Scott, Thomas, Carter, Hudson, and Owen. Sister-in-law of Eileen Beale of Fergus, and aunt of Kendra Platt and John Hudson, and Keith and Aaron Platt. Bernita was predeceased by her parents John and Jessie (Creighton) Moffit, and by her brothers Vernon and Danny.
A family funeral service will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel, on Friday, January 13th with Rev. George Russell officiating. Spring interment in Grand Valley Union Cemetery.
