POLLOCK, Blair

Posted

On March 9, 2018, William Blair Pollock, cherished husband of Frances Carmel Pollock (née Karpiuk, 1918-1997), dear father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away surrounded by his three daughters, Penny, Brenda and Nancy.  This red-headed Winnipegger lived a life that will continue to serve as a legacy for all. Outgoing yet shy, practical yet sentimental, unschooled yet wise, self-deprecating but gregarious, a man of honour who easily forgave those who needed it.

When we celebrated his 90th, a hall was needed to host all his close friends and family. Now at 98 most have gone before him and are waiting to welcome him home. But they would want us to mention his love of golf and amazing skills on the green, his fine singing voice, dinners he and Francie hosted and the lasting mark he made as the top salesman in the dental industry. They would also want us to raise a glass of Alexander Keith in his honour.

We will miss you Dad and Grandpa.

Family and friends may visit at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 12 to 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made in Blair’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
