Passed away peacefully with his loving wife and daughter Susan by his side at Marian Villa, Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care in London, ON, on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Doreen (Bonnar) Powers. Loved Dad to Sharon Gow (Bruce), Wayne Powers (Toni) and Susan Markle (John Knapp). Proud Bubba and Grandpa to Shelly (Mark), Corey (Stacey), Noel (Lorrie) and Sean and to 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Edith. George was a proud veteran of WWII. For over 54 years, he was appointed by Santa Claus to play Santa in Guelph.
