RAVENSDALE, Jacqueline Linda (Jackie) (nee Richards)

Peacefully in her 67th year with her loving family by her side at Hospice Wellington on Friday, July 8th, 2016. Loving mother of Michael (Katherine) and Andrea (Ryan). "Grandma Ravey" to Acacia, Isla, Ava and Eamon. Special sister to Sandi Voisin (Luke) and devoted daughter of the late Peggy and Norman Richards. "Aunt Jack" to Mark and Matthew Voisin, Kendra Field, the late Jesse Ravensdale and Chelsea Ravensdale. Best friend of Judie Malone. Jackie was born and raised in Stratford, Ontario. She attended the University of Guelph where she met Bruce Ravensdale and graduated with honours. Jackie was a local elementary school teacher in Guelph for over 30 years. Jackie was very proud to be an educator and loved helping her students reach their full academic potential. Jackie will also be missed by her many friends, former students and co-workers and her extended family in Canada, the United States, Mexico and England. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate paramedics, nurses and doctors at the Guelph General Hospital in the ER and on the 7th floor, and the wonderful nurses, volunteers and staff at Hospice Wellington. A celebration of Jackie's life will take place on Sunday, July 24 at the Puslinch Lake Marina Dockside (lower level) located at 1947 McClintock Dr. in Cambridge from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Family remarks at 2:00 pm. An annual scholarship will be set up in Jackie's name to help under privileged children attend post-secondary school. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel. In lieu of flowers, Andrea and Michael ask that donations be made in Jackie's name to Hospice Wellington.
