Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Silvana (Maschio) Rebellato in her 86th year, was the beloved wife of the late Marino Rebellato (2008). She was the loving mother of Robert and his wife Nadia, Marilena Bowling and her husband Jay, Larry and his wife Marisa, and Ornella Miller and her husband Peter. Predeceased by her first daughter as an infant. Silvana was the proud Nonna of Alyssa (Matthew), Mikaila, Kristen, Victoria, Noah, Liam, Joseph, Matteo, and Nicholas. She was the dear sister of Maria Cusinato (the late Antonio), and of the late Otello (Mary), the late Dina (Gastone), and the late Daniele (Franca). Silvana is survived also by many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law in Toronto and Italy.

Our mother was a woman of strength and deep faith. Friends and family described her as a devoted, fortuitous and caring woman. She had a profound love for her children and grandchildren and was always there when needed. She grew up in San Martino di Lupari, where she met the love of her life Marino. There she unselfishly cared for her parents and her Zia until Marino called for her to Canada. Here she came in 1960, much like all the Italians at the time, with nothing more than her luggage and a strong desire to begin a family. And that she did, married Marino, our father, and began her new life in Guelph. She has been our rock, our guide and our moral compass through life. We will miss her dearly but know that she is now united with her soul mate, our father, in the life everlasting.
