The family of Pat Reitz sadly announce that she died peacefully at the Village of Riverside Glen, Guelph, on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Pat was the loving wife and best friend of 66 years to Alex. Loved mother of Janet (Donald) Kaufman of Guelph, David of Waterloo, Tom of Cambridge and Brad of Toronto. Grandmother to Mark, Jennifer and Sara Kaufman (Jesse Bridge), and “Grandma Pat” to great-granddaughters Zoe and Maren Bridge. Pat was born in 1927 in Waterloo County and lived most of her life in Waterloo. She was predeceased by parents Lawrence Sauder (1953) and Laura Pengelly (1960), brother Douglas (1998) and sister Phyllis Linder (1998).
In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family inurnment will take place.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia E. (Pat) Reitz in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
