Schuknecht Isabel

Isabel Schuknecht, with her husband Don and family by her side, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre, Guelph, on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at the age of 84. Her zest for life, wonderful sense of humour and optimistic attitude living the past 2 1/2 years with cancer made her the pillar of strength for everyone around her.
She was the loving wife, best friend and cleaning partner of Don for almost 64 wonderful years. She was an amazing mother to Paul and his wife, Cathy and Karen and her husband, Kirk and the proudest grandma to Nolan, Braydon (Kendra), Christian and Autumn. Isabel was the dear sister of Gary and his wife, Alice, the sister-in-law of the late Jean (Fred) and the late Esther (Stan), and the beloved aunt of Kathy, Reg (Sandy) and her nephews and niece who she is now reunited with: Ray (Raenelle), Todd (Jeanette) and Judy (Jacques). Isabel was the heart and soul of her family who will miss her Sunday night dinners and so much more.
The family wishes to send a heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Joe’s, GGH and everyone else who not only helped her stay strong and live life to the fullest but arranged for Don to be with his “Bride” right up until the end. Most importantly, thank you to all of her friends who entertained her, phoned her, adored and cared so deeply for her - she loved you all so very much in return and you will be forever in her family’s hearts.
