SCOTT, Hazel Marie

At St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Hazel Marie (Armstrong) Scott was the beloved wife of the late Frank Scott (2001). She was the loving mother of Lianne Scott (Patrick Sipos) of Ottawa. Hazel was the daughter of the late Edgar and the late Winnifred (Gibson) Armstrong of Erin. She was the dear sister of Duncan (Marion) Armstrong of Erin, Douglas (Janet) (late Pauline 1989) Armstrong of Belwood, and Laura Quarrie – Smeltzer (Jack) of Belwood (late James Quarrie 2011 of Fergus). Survived by nephews Bradley, Wayne, Paul, Todd and Shaun Armstrong, and Scott Quarrie, and by nieces Wendy Armstrong, Dana Shantz, and Diane Montgomery and their spouses, and by great-nieces and great-nephews. Hazel was an active member of St. George’s Anglican Church. A Funeral Service will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Canon Ralph Blackman and Rev. Canon Jean Mitchell officiating. Private interment at Erin Union Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home. As per Hazel’s wishes, there will be no visitation prior to the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. George’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
