Sibley Pat MM

Patricia Grace Sibley (nee Martin)

November 15, 1936 – August 31, 2021

Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, after a long life blessed with love, laughter, and a dog.

Pat will be dearly missed by her relatives and many friends gained over the years through her unmistakable and one-of-a-kind personality.

Born in Toronto, where she worked, met the love-of-her-life, and raised a loving son, Pat was an avid reader, a beautiful ‘yarnie’, enjoyed dinners with fine wine, loved her dog and her years with her husband George, and son Shawn and family at their lakeside cottage. She was also a hard worker and employed with Gulf Oil, Household Finance, Liquor Control Board, Texaco, and Imperial Oil. Always the glass-half-full-kinda-gal, Pat loved life.

Dear mother to her son Shawn Sibley (Kayla) of Grafton and proud grandmother of Emily and Joshua Sibley. She was also blessed to have a loyal and loving sister of Marlene Ward, Orillia (Art).

Predeceased by her devoted husband of 53 years and best friend, George Sibley of Guelph (2016). Predeceased by her parents Florence (nee Byrne) and Norman Martin and sisters and brother: Mary Redman, Peggy Gurney, Olive Ward, Nonie Brackett, and William Martin.

The family is deeply grateful and wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, PSWs, and staff at Oshawa Hillsdale Estates where Pat lived.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.

May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

A tree will be planted in memory of Patricia G. Sibley in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
