Peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday August 1, 2018. Jack Skipper, in his 89th year. Husband to Nancy Lynn Skipper (Hawkins) for over 61 years. Dear father of Cameron (Barbara) of Guelph and David (Lisa) of Cambridge. Much loved grandfather to Conor, Carson, and Colin. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Ida (Moeller) and Bert Skipper, his son John Howard Skipper (1978) and his sisters Dorothy Schwartz and Grace Brydon. ‘Skip’ was well known from his work at Homewood Health Centre and the Skipper-O’Drowsky Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the Bayshore nurses and to Dr. Peter Spadafora for making his last days a little more comfortable.
A private family service was held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031). Interment took place at Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Memorial contributions to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
