It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dean Smith on Monday July 4th, 2016.  Born September 24th, 1968 in Guelph, Ontario and currently residing on his beloved farm on Jones Baseline.  Survived and missed by his mother Regina (Jeanny) Wons, brother Andy Charest and sister Sabrina Charest (Patrick Fitzgibbons) and his dear dog Nicky.  He will be dearly missed by the many friends gained over the years through his unmistakable and one of a kind personality.  Predeceased by his father Philip Smith and uncle Peter Wons. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Friday July 8th (from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.).  A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future.  Details are still being worked out.  As a family, we ask for donations in lieu of flowers.  Memorial contributions to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.  We invite you to leave your condolences and donations online at www.gilchristchapel.com.
