Kathleen (Kay) Elizabeth Sorbara went home to be with our Lord on March 18th, 2023. We are very grateful to Him that it was a peaceful journey. Kay was in her 99th year. She was born in Guelph to the late Mabel and George Glazier.

Kay is predeceased by her late husband and best friend James (Jim) Sorbara (1982) as well as her eldest son Lawrence (Larry), daughter Mary Elizabeth Simms (Pius), granddaughter Kim Sorbara, brothers Stan, Cliff, Jack and George Glazier, as well as sister Ruth Derbecker. Kay is survived by her children Ralph (Sandy), Londo (Diane), Pius (Mary’s husband), Ruth (Steve) and grandchildren Kathy, Matthew, Tina, Tony, Chad, Jason, Brodie, Greg, Jeff and Mark

and 13 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tremendous thanks to her second family, the staff at the Elliot and in particular the Wellington 3rd floor Long Term Care. We do not know what we would have done without you. Your love and kindness will not be forgotten.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, the family invites friends and relatives to join for a visitation on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St. Guelph, at 10:30am on Thursday, March 23, 2023 followed by interment at Marymount Catholic Cemetery, 5400 Hwy. 6, Guelph. Guests are welcomed to the Italian Canadian Club, 135 Ferguson St, Guelph for a reception following the burial.
