Stutz Joseph MM

Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Friday, May 3rd 2019, in his 98th year, with his devoted daughter by his side.

Loved father of Pamela Tanner of Guelph and Jennifer (John) Flexton of England. Survived by his brother Lionel Stutz in Atlanta, Georgia. Cherished Grandfather to Catherine Black, Amanda, Samantha and Andrew Tanner, Jessica Flexton and Jason Spanton. He was the dearly loved Popa of his great-grandchildren: Emma, Callum, Ryder, Jordyn and Tristen Tanner. He will be fondly remembered by relatives and all his wonderful friends, especially those at the Village of Arbour Trails in Guelph.

Joseph was considered a legend by many people. His humour was second to none. He was a great piano player with an incredible touch. His story telling was his way to connect with people from all walks of life. His international business travels allowed him to share his experiences on a personal level with everyone he met. Joseph had a gift of making those he met feel important. He also had an unbelievable memory that served him well throughout his entire lifetime. One of his favourite times in his life, was living in Bermuda for eight years with his wife Marjorie, where their Daughters were born. He loved Photography, Music, Ballet, Opera, Poker, Boating, the finer things in life and his Great-grandchildren. Joseph's presence will be deeply missed. He had a brilliant mind that helped him live an incredible life. Joseph was one of a kind.

We are thankful for the many Doctors that showed him compassion over the past few years. We are grateful to all the kind nurses at Arbor Trails and Hospice Wellington who took wonderful care of him and delighted in his humour.

As per Joseph’s wishes, Cremation has already taken place. His Family will receive friends at the Village of Arbor Trails, 32 Bayberry Drive, Guelph, Saturday, May 11th, 2019 for a celebration of his life at 3:30pm in the Chapel with a reception to follow.
