Helen Isobel Whitney Taylor of Owen Sound formerly of Holland Centre, Ontario
(April 8, 1924 - May 22, 2019) - Passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Helen Isobel Whitney Taylor (nee Boyce) of Owen Sound, formerly of R.R.# 2 Holland Centre at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late John Lannin Whitney and the late George Hudson Taylor.
Dear mother of Russel Whitney (Jan Garbutt) of Clifford, Barbara Whitney of Guelph, Catherine Whitney (the late Heinz Bauch) of Guelph, James Whitney (Monica) of London, Pearl Bumstead (Brian) of Holland Centre. Grandmother of Cara Boskovic (Isaac) of Ingersoll, Marissa Jones (Andrew) of Sarnia, Melody Owen (Mark) of Lincoln Park MI., Chelsea Whitney of London, Matthew Whitney of Sarnia, and Elise Whitney of London. Great-grandmother of Annette, Bethany, Caleb, Daniel, Ethan and Samuel. Sister of Jean Walker (Robert) of Holland Centre and Bessie Lawrence of Markdale. Sadly, missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by son Dean Whitney, granddaughter Annette Whitney and brother Eddison Boyce, brothers-in-law Charles Timmins, Bert Lawrence and sister-in-law June Boyce and Heinz Bauch.
A funeral service will be held at the May Funeral Home, Markdale, on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 pm – 1:30 p.m. Interment in Markdale Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey Bruce or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
