TILLEY, Roger Watson

It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the peaceful passing of my dad, Roger, on December 28, 2019 at Hospice Wellington in Guelph.
 
Roger is survived by his daughter Melanie Tilley and reunited in heaven with his daughter Jennifer Tilley and his father Watson Tilley. Survived by his beloved mother Naomi Tilley who will miss his jokes and his dimples, his siblings Beverly Tilley, Gary Tilley and Kathy Schaefer along with his family in Newfoundland. Will DeVries, his wife Ami and their two children who were like family will miss his love and laughter. Roger was a great friend to many and to those of you that loved and supported us - thank you.
 
My dad was my hero. His ambition, free spirit and contagious smile are things I will always miss. The strength and determination he showed me during his battle with cancer is admirable and I’m so thankful I got to call such an amazing man my dad. Driving his Mustang, playing a round of golf, late night low and slow dinners, bonfires, his cat Manu and tinkering around with just about anything were some of his passions.
 
Friends and family will be welcomed at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 7-9 pm.  On Saturday, January 4, 2020 please join us to celebrate and raise a glass of Budweiser to Roger at Louie’s on Lewis, 84 Lewis Road, Guelph from 8 pm to 12 am.
