Peacefully on Saturday, March 17 2018, at Georgetown Hospital, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Valantine (August 20 2016). Cherished Sister of Millie Timbers and Aunt to Joanne Ware (Tom) and Terry, Carol, Ken, Shirley, Reg. Jr., Brenda, Melville, Debbie, David, Brian, Paul, Leona and Keith. Ruth was a very proud Aunt and Great Aunt who will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ann Norton and siblings William, Reginald, Kenneth, Charles and Lillian. Many thanks to the staff at Extendicare Halton Hills for their kindness and care given to Ruth. Sincerest gratitude for the compassion, dedication and support by Rev'd Canon Rob Park and members of St. George's Anglican Church, Georgetown, who remained part of Ruth's life and provided her with strength and faith. Private family service will be held at a later date. In memory contributions to St. George's Anglican Church, Georgetown would be greatly appreciated.
