VALERIOTE, Rev. Angelico

Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Thursday March 10, 2016.

Rev Angelico Valeriote (Ordained to the Priesthood May 1, 1949) in his 92nd year, beloved son of the late Joseph and Rachel (Cardillo) Valeriote.

Dear brother of Palma Bomben (Leo) of Hamilton and the late Mico; Ralph; Michael; James; Anthony, Mary Campbell, Patricia Ann, Sam, Victoria Lerouge and a sister in infancy.

Father Valeriote started his priestly duties teaching at Cathedral Boys High School and St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing both in Hamilton.

Father served in parishes in Dundalk; Drayton; Hanover; Hamilton; Paris and Acton and retired to the Basilica of Our Lady in Guelph in 1997.

Cherished uncle and great uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Father will be greatly missed by former parishioners and many friends.

Father Valeriote will lie In State at the Basilica of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph, where public visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, from 3-8pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 14, at the Basilica of Our Lady at 11 o’clock.

A Vigil for Father will be on Sunday at 8 o’clock. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
