VAN KAMPEN, Robert

Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at The Village of Riverside Glen on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the age of 81.  
 
Beloved husband of 44 years to Albina “Bing” van Kampen. Loved father of Julie van Kampen (Ian Cadeau) and Shelley van Kampen (Terry Walsh). Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Aiden and Makayla. Dear brother of Irene Dagevos (the late Max), Sonja Wolff (Dolf), the late Eduard van Kampen, and Hilda van Roon (the late Tony). Predeceased by his parents Max van Kampen and Lien van Doorn. He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families from Holland, Canada and the Philippines.
 
Robert loved nature photography, remote control airplanes and model trains. He worked for the Dutch Navy in 1960 as an electrician on board, then at GTI in Holland as an electrician. His last place of employment was at COM DEV in Cambridge in the space electronics lab, prior to his retirement in 2007.
 
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
