Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Monday, October 3, 2016, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of 63 years to Hugh “Arn” Vasey. Loved mother of Michael, Brian (Sue), Robert (Lesley), Brenda and Paul (Jennifer). Cherished grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of ten. Dear sister of Ross (Gloria) Smith. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Mabel Smith, and her sister Grace. Will be sadly missed nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering to celebrate Helen’s life will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Private family interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington and Knox Presbyterian Church General Fund would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of M. Helen Vasey in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
