After a very long and difficult battle with ALS & Dementia, Diane Veilleux passed away peacefully on Monday February 19, 2018 while surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Daughter of Rose Anna Landry & Arthur Bertrand and stepfather Gerard Mercier. Sister to Micheline Bertrand, Jean-Guy Bertrand and Gaetan Bertrand. Cherished mother of Patrick Volpini, Carole Veilleux & Sophie Veilleux and loving grandmother to Richard, Robert and Olivia.
Diane was a very kind, dedicated and hardworking woman who enjoyed a lengthy career as a computer college manager and later on as an accountant. During her time off, she enjoyed reading, long walks and visits with her family and best friend, Lise Mercier. She was an extremely loving mother and her children were her whole world. She will be greatly missed.
Our sincerest gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s staff for taking such good care of her during the last few months of her life.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:30 p.m.
A tree will be planted in memory of Diane J. Veilleux in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
