We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Marlene Gail Walker (nee Peart) of Belwood, Ontario after a short but fierce battle with brain cancer.
Marlene will be dearly missed by her husband of 52 years, Robin Walker, daughter Rachelle Walker (Kerry) and daughter Julie Ecclestone (Roger). Marlene was also the proud grandmother of Chloe Hasson, Emma Ecclestone and Connor Ecclestone. Marlene is survived by her mother, Leila Kingston and sister Diane Laur and predeceased by her father Delmer Peart. Also grieving at home are her 2 beloved Australian Shepherds, Aussie and Murphy. They laid with her through her illness and showed their love with lots of snuggles and wet kisses. They’ll miss their mom.
We would like to thank Dr. Kwiatkoski and the staff at Groves Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion given to Marlene in her final weeks. Also a huge thank you to our friends and family for your thoughts, prayers and assistance over the past few months. It means the world to us to have had your support.
As per Marlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
