Weiss Michael MM

A life well lived.

On July 10th, 2022, Michael (Mike) Raynald Weiss, loving husband, step-father, brother and papa, passed away peacefully in the city of Guelph. Mike is survived by his loving wife Knolly, together for 25 years, his step children Indira (Luke), Paul (Judy), Nalini (Tonny), his son Sean (Erin), and his six grand-children Jordon, Dylan, Michaela, Austin, Tyler, and Elora.

Mike was known as an accomplished sailor, avid reader, and lover of the outdoors. Mike graduated from the University of Guelph in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce. Mike’s love for books and reading led him to follow his passion to work at Indigo as a bookseller for many years.

One of Mike’s dreams was to live on his sailboat, which he was able to fulfill with Knolly in the summertime.

Mike will be greatly missed, by his wife and family. Some of the cherished memories include: his secret caesar salad dressing, watching his family’s faces as they opened their books he gave to them each Christmas, and breakfast in bed, “picnic” with his grand-children.

The single red rose he brought to Knolly – each month – will be forever treasured.

We are sincerely grateful to the many friends and family who have given us support and comfort, during this time of loss. We would also like to acknowledge the support from all the healthcare workers who provided exceptional care for Mike.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Friday, July 15, 2022 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 161 Norfolk St, Guelph on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 am. Guests may also attend remotely by clicking the link on the funeral home website: www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations towards Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Michael R. Weiss in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
