Wickham Luella MM

It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Luella Wickham of Rockwood, who passed away at  St. Joseph's Health Centre on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 at the age of 91. Known to many as "Ducky". Cherished mother of Ann Mammoliti (Dominic) of Rockwood, Lynda Cannon of Guelph and the late Marshall Wickham (Brenda) of Maryhill. Beloved "Nanny" to Kelley, Michael (Christa) , Danielle (Kelly), Dominic (Christine), Nicholas (Amy) and Krystal (Nick). Great grandmother of Emily, Owen, Hailey, Mya, Makayla, Luca, Draya, Carson, Kingston and Liam. Predeceased by her sisters Adeline and Irene and brothers Walter, Gordon and Ken and her parents Robert and Annie May (Checkley) Brown.

Dear to and remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Luella was a hairdresser in Rockwood for many years. Once retired, she enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in Killarney with Len Ariss (predeceased 2008) her loving companion of 42 years.  She enjoyed gardening, dancing and the sunshine and is remembered by all for her constant smile and happy disposition. Words cannot express our gratitude to the staff of St. Joseph’s who took such amazing care of Mom for the past five years. You became family to her and we thank you so very much. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday, June 9th from (2-4 & 7-9 p.m.).  A service to celebrate Luella’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, June 10th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.

May you always dance in heaven's sunshine
