WIJNEN/WYNEN, Hendrick P.D.

(December 21, 1938 ~ September 7, 2018) - “Henk” formerly of Guelph, passed away unexpectedly in Nanaimo, BC, on Friday, September 7, 2018 in his 80th year.  Born in Heerlen, The Netherlands, Henk immigrated to Canada with his family in 1954; he called Guelph, Whitehorse, Prince Rupert and finally, Nanaimo, home.  Henk was an avid photographer and passionate about travel and nature.  Predeceased by wife Nancy Wynen nee Halliburton and parents Marinus and Regina Wynen.  He will be sorely missed by his partner, Janna Koop-Wijnen of Nanaimo.  Remembered by daughters Angela Wynen of Guelph, Yvonne McArthur (Gordon) of Fergus, brother Dick Wynen (Anni) of Guelph, his grandchildren and countless other family, friends and acquaintances he met along the way.  Cremation has taken place.
