It is with deep sadness that the family of Ronald Wilkinson announce his passing on May 3rd at Wellington Terrace in Fergus, Ontario at the age of 75.

Ron was pre-deceased by his parents Burn and Doris and his wife Florence (nee Paulenko). He is survived by his son Geoffrey and daughter-in-law Julie, granddaughters Araceli and Sophia, his sister Beth and husband Doug (Taylor), brother Jim and wife Johan, brother Greg and wife Maggie, and many treasured nieces and nephews, former spouse Barbara, stepchildren Paul, Scot and Judy, cherished cousins and friends.

Ron was born in Guelph on September 27, 1943 however became a truly global citizen living and working in Europe and the Middle East during various points in his career with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. He was extremely committed to causes of social justice and doing what was right for others was very important to him. His love of life and carefree, generous spirit enabled him to fearlessly enjoy visiting many parts of the world, engaging friendships with people from all cultures and walks of life and amass a unique collection of mementos of his travels and experiences. The world is a better place for Ron having been in it. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Wellington Terrace for their kindness and compassionate care of Ronald during the last few years of his life. A small graveside service will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Toronto on May 11th.
