Doug will be remembered for his quick one liners and the ability to make people laugh and smile. He loved sharing good times with friends and family and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar at many gatherings throughout the years.

Red was actively involved in the standardbred racing community for over 50 years, as an owner, trainer and driver on many of Ontario's tracks. He enjoyed the horses and it created an opportunity for family and friends to gather to watch the races. Win or lose, there was always a story to tell and a beer to be had afterwards.

Special thanks to the staff at Pinehaven Nursing Home in Waterloo for their care and concern for the past seven months.
