Passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in Guelph, on Thursday, April 5th, 2018, at the age of 83 years. Dorothy graduated 60 years ago from the Ottawa Civic Hospital Nursing program which led her to a 25 plus year career at the Homewood Health Centre where she retired as a Head Nurse. During that time, she managed to get another degree from Wilfred Laurier University. Dorothy’s favourite days were the ones where she knew she was going dancing.
Now joining her parents Martin and Eileen Welch and her brothers Maynard and Norbert. Dorothy was the loving Mom of John (Andrea) of Mississauga, Stephen and Jennifer (Ian), all of Guelph. Cherished grandmother of Alexander and Adrianna and Kristen and Erin. Dear sister of Marion of St. Catharines and Jean of Ottawa and Sister in Law of Huggette of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A very special thank you to the nurses and PSWs at the Elliott and Ellington for their loving care.
