It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our cherished father
John Xuereb, at Guelph General Hospital, with his family by his side, on
Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 82.
Son of the late Joseph & Theresa Xuereb. Loving husband to Carmen Xuereb
(Borg) whom he shared a life time spanning of 60 years together. Devoted
father to James (Wanda) Xuereb , Diane Xuereb & Brandon(Dawn)
Xuereb, all of Guelph.
John was an extraordinary Nannu to Jade, Rachell, Vanessa, Braedon,
Jaleen, Madison, Alyssa & Rylan & Buz Nannu to Paulina & all our fur
babies. One of John's biggest accomplishments & passion was being a
father & Nannu. He was always there for their ups & downs of life.
He put his children & grandchildren needs above his at all times. John
warmed many hearts with his smile and always made everyone feel loved &
welcomed. John had a gentle spirit and a very calming demeanour that
could uplift your spirit on your saddest days. Despite the challenges of
his illness, he faced them all with his head held high until the very
end. Our hero will forever live on in our hearts.
His family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral
Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Monday, November 29, 2021
from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Due to COVID concerns and in accordance
with provincial guidelines, guests must preregister on the funeral home
website to attend his visitation. Masks are mandatory and social
distancing will be in place. A private family funeral service will be
held. If so desired, memorial donations in John's memory to the Grand
River Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by
his family.
