YOUNG, Audrey Mary Agnes

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey (Fitzgerald) Young, at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 89 years of age. Beloved wife of 67 years to Joe Young. Loving mother of Pamela Young, Janice Niemann, Beverley Lucyk (Brett). Robert Young (Jeanine Holland) and Bridget Young (Amir Gutman) all of Guelph. Proud and loving grandmother to Heather (Mike Allen), Rachael (Jared Karr), Hilary Lucyk-Chen (Adam), Aidan Gutman, Liam Gutman and great grandson Everett Karr. Predeceased by her parents, John and Janet (Bruce) Fitzgerald and her sister Beverley Fitzgerald.  Audrey was a member of the Hadassa Wizo and Friday Lunch Club.  Audrey lived her life as a gracious, caring and loving wife and mother.  Audrey’s passions included entertaining, baking (shortbread and cheesecakes), everything Irish, cats and most of all her family and friends.
Joe and the family would like to thank Zara, Chris, Bonnie and Nessa of the St. Joseph’s Complex Care Unit for their care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held in Guelph at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Beth Isaiah Section on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.  Shiva will be held at the family home, 64 Metcalfe Street, Guelph on Thursday, July 21 and Friday, July 22 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Arrangements entrusted to the Gilchrist Chapel McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, 1 Delhi Street, Guelph, ON (519-824-0031)
