Born to Anna and Stanley Borek on September 13, 1922, Sophie passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in her 99th year, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester (1988). Proud and loving mother of Ann Zaborowski of Kitchener, Garry Zaborowski (Mary) of Rockwood, Joe Zaborowski of Cambridge and the late Adele Joanne Zaborowski-Stuart (1993). Cherished Baci of Ches and Carly. Sophie was the dear sister of Blanche Zylka (late Leo) and the late Chester. A Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 7 – 9 p.m. with the Memorial service on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Marymount Cemetery. Please understand that we will be following social distancing protocols due to COVID-19 and masks are required.
