With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gioconda Fernanda Zampieri (nee Pittis). On November 4th, 2017, with family by her side, she passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 90. 

Beloved wife of the late Renato Zampieri (2001). Loving mother of Fiorella Zampieri and Lucy Sartori (Patrizio). Cherished Nonna of Natasha Angerilli (Paul), and Mikayla Sartori. Proud Bisnonna of little Paolo Fernando Angerilli. 

Gioconda will be remembered for her caring heart, love of the Blue Jays, famous sugo, and generous spirit. Her faith in God and love for her family gave her strength every day. 

Born and raised in Italy, she will be missed and never forgotten by her many friends and family there. 

She will fondly be remembered as Gio to all her wonderful PSW’s and many thanks for their continued patience and care throughout the years. 

Gioconda lived a long life and made everlasting memories with her family that will always be treasured. She was the “heart of the family”. 

Friends will be received at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass for Gioconda will be held at St. John’s Church, Guelph, on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery.
