$100K worth of copper wire stolen from Guelph-Eramosa business

Police say unknown suspects gained access into the business by prying open the exterior steel door

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Oct.19, 2020 at approximately 6:52 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft incident that occurred at a business on Wellington Road 32 in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

It was reported that sometime between Oct. 18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. and Oct. 19, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. unknown suspects gained access into the business by prying open the exterior steel door as well as an interior door which lead to where the wire was being stored. The value of the stolen copper wire is approximately $100,000.

A 10" UHAUL truck with a cowboy riding a horse graphic on the side was observed at the business on Oct. 18, 2020 at approximately 10:23 p.m.
