16-year-old faces impaired charge

The youth also faces charges for breaching G1 rules

On May 16, 2019 at 2:20 a.m., Guelph Police went to a location on Victoria Road South to investigate the report of a possible impaired driver. Police located the motor vehicle and driver and a roadside test with an approved screening device was conducted.

A fail was indicated and an arrest was made.

The 16-year-old Guelph youth has been charged with operate conveyance at 80mg or above – alcohol.

Charges under the Highway Traffic Act were also laid,  Novice Driver – BAC above zero and class G1 licence holder- unaccompanied by qualified driver.

The youth will appear in court on May 29, 2019.
