On Oct. 20, 2018, members of C Platoon conducted targeted enforcement on Imperial Road at Massey Road targeting vehicles driving aggressively on the detour created by the closure of the Hanlon Expressway at Woodlawn Road. Over the course of two hours, 18 tickets were issue for speeding, insecure load, and unnecessary noise (a burnout was performed directly in front of the traffic safety initiative).
Guelph Police would like to remind the public that construction will be ongoing for several months in this area. Please plan accordingly, reduce speed in construction zones and drive safely in the changing road conditions. And remember, road safety starts with you.
