18-year-old accused of driving 130 km/h in a 70 zone

He has been charged with racing

On Aug. 28, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 124 in Eramosa. The officer observed a red sedan travelling above the posted 70 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h.

As a result, Austin Alphonsus Johannes Prezbruch-Krist, 18-years-old of Guelph has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on Nov. 6, 2019. The accused's driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
