On Nov. 25, 2019, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police received a call from the loss prevention management of a local business reporting a fraud. Police were advised that the business is located on Main Street in Wellington North Township and the suspect is an employee.
As a result of the investigation, Eric Johnston, 25 years old of Wellington North Township has been charged with fraud over $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on Dec. 31, 2019 to answer to the charge.
