36-year-old man accused of trafficking 'Magic: The Gathering' cards

On Feb. 11, 2019, a resident on Palmer Street contacted Guelph Police to report that his vehicle had been broken into and a number of items were stolen that included Magic: The Gathering trading cards. The victim made attempts to locate the cards on his own through social media and assisted Guelph Police in their investigation.

On Feb. 20, 2019, with the assistance of uniformed officers, Guelph Police B.E.A.T. team executed a search warrant at a residence on Rhonda Road. A 36-year-old Guelph male will appear in court today on the charges of trafficking in property obtained by crime, possession of stolen property under $5,000, breach of probation, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (crystal meth and crack cocaine). He is additionally charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 in relation to a recovered stolen vehicle from December 2016.
