$5,000 worth of tools stolen from van

Police say staff reported that someone broke into a fenced compound to gain access to a work vehicle

Guelph Police is investigating after more than $5,000 worth of tools were stolen from a work van at a business on Imperial Road North.

Police were called Thursday afternoon to the business near Woodlawn Road West. Staff reported one of the vehicles in their fenced compound was entered by punching out the lock and a quantity of tools removed from the motor vehicle. Two other motor vehicles in the same compound were also entered but there were no tools in them as the vehicles are not in service. There was no damage estimate available.
