'Aggressive woman' answers door armed with knife: Police

Concerned neighbour assaulted

In the early afternoon of April 30, two women could hear a loud argument coming from a neighbour’s homes on Yorkshire Street and knocked on the door to check on everyone’s wellbeing.

The two were met by an aggressive woman who answered the door armed with a knife. 

The two women retreated and the woman threw the knife at them, striking one of them in the chest area. Neither one of the concerned women were injured.

Police were called and the 24-year-old Guelph woman who threw the knife was located and arrested.

She is charged with assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous to the public peace and was held in custody to appear in bail court today.
