Alleged coffee cup culprit returns. Arrest ensues

On Jan. 10, 2017 a staff member at a Gordon Street establishment was unhurt after a male patron became agitated and threw a coffee cup at her. He was directed to leave and not return.

Before police arrived and could deal with the incident, the man left. Then on the morning of Jan. 12, the same man returned, police were called and he was still there when police arrived. 

The 37 year-old Guelph man of no fixed was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief, fail to comply with recognizance, fail to comply probation and trespassing.

He was held in custody and will appear in bail court today.
